Baladewa is the brother of Khrisna who is a deity and  the central central character in Mahabharata. He is depicted as hot-tempered  but forgiving and wise. His excellent skills in using mace as a weapon brought Bima and Duryodhana to learn from him.

Wayang Kulit is a traditional form of shadow puppet performance originally found in Java and Bali, Indonesia.The stories performed are depiction from Mahabharata or Ramayana. In 2003, UNESCO designated Wayang Kulit as a Masterpiece of the Oral and intangible Heritage of Humanity for Indonesia.
