Description:
Built by the Dutch in 1710 as “Het Stadhuis” (city hall) of Batavia, today this iconic building is known today as The Jakarta History Museum or Fatahillah Museum and is located in the Old Town (Kota Tua) of Jakarta.
Reproduction after a lithograph published in the year 1883 in the Netherlands, based on a drawing by J.C. Rappard. During his posting in the Netherlands Indies from 1842 until 1872, Rappard painted and drew pictures of life in the Indies and various sceneries. Later, back in the Netherlands, they were being made into decorative lithographs.
Our cardboard framed artworks are printed on art paper and framed with a paper mat. They come sealed in plastic and have a short description on the back.
